These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Tripnario iPhone application and any related websites or services (together, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using Tripnario, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Tripnario. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may only use the Service with the involvement of a parent or legal guardian. Tripnario is not directed to children under 13.

2. The Service

Tripnario provides language-learning content and AI-assisted conversation practice organized around travel scenarios. Content is generated for educational purposes and is not a substitute for professional translation, legal advice, medical advice, or official travel documentation. Lesson output, vocabulary, and chat responses are produced in part by AI models and may contain inaccuracies — verify critical information independently before relying on it.

3. Your account

Some features may require an account or sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

4. Subscriptions, billing, and renewals

• Tripnario offers a free tier and optional paid subscriptions that unlock premium features.
• Subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at purchase confirmation.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions from Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Prices, durations, and features of subscription plans may change; material changes will be communicated before they apply to you.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. Refund requests are handled by Apple under their refund policy.

5. Acceptable use

When using Tripnario, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, harassing, or fraudulent purpose.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code or AI prompts of the app, except as permitted by law.
• Interfere with or overload our infrastructure, or attempt to bypass usage limits, authentication, or billing.
• Submit content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or invasive of another person's privacy.
• Use outputs from the Service to train machine-learning models that compete with Tripnario.

6. User content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to Tripnario (for example, messages you send in chat practice). You grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to process that content solely to operate and improve the Service — including by sending it to our AI provider to generate responses. We do not use your content for advertising, and we do not sell it.

7. AI-generated content

Chat responses, lessons, and translations in Tripnario are produced by AI models. AI output can be wrong, outdated, or culturally inappropriate. You are responsible for how you use it — especially in real-world situations like medical emergencies, legal interactions, or official travel procedures.

8. Intellectual property

Tripnario, its name, logo, app content, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, in accordance with Apple's Usage Rules.

9. Third-party services

Tripnario uses third-party services — including Apple (App Store, in-app purchases), Google (Firebase, Firebase AI Logic, Google Places), and RevenueCat — to deliver features. Your use of those features is also subject to the respective providers' terms.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet your expectations.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we need to for legal, security, or operational reasons. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you inside the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which we operate, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory local consumer-protection law in your country provides otherwise.

15. Apple-specific terms

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
